How to personalize your Fire TV screensaver with your own photos
Display and share your favorite Amazon Photos on the biggest screen in your home
I pretty much have the TV on all day long (one of the perks of being on the Fire TV team), and when I’m not streaming Schitt’s Creek, I fill the family screen with photos of our favorite trips, puppy, friends and family. Basically, our 55” TV turns into a ginormous photo frame with the help of Amazon Photos. It’s fun to relive memories over dinner and see the faces of people I love. It’s almost like having them join us at the table.

How does Amazon Photos work?
Amazon Photos is available as an app on Fire TV and Fire tablet, and you can also access it on iOS, Android, desktop, and the web. Prime members get unlimited photo storage and 5 GB video storage, and those looking for more storage can purchase monthly and yearly plans. Instead of letting my photos fade from memory, I can keep them alive and well as a rotating screensaver. This especially comes in handy during the holidays. Instead of streaming a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, or hearing the kids squabble (or gobble?) while playing Thanksgiving Invasion, I can set our Fire TV to play specific memories from past Thanksgivings by creating an album within the Amazon Photos app.
You might think that by viewing the photos I took on my phone on a 55” screen they’d appear blurry. But Amazon Photos securely stores and maintains the images I capture with zero compression or alteration. So my photos remain crystal clear even when viewed on the biggest screen in the house. And, bonus, I can print out family portraits right from the Amazon Photos app and — as a Prime member — have them delivered free right to my doorstep.
