Today we launched our first ever Amazon-built smart TVs. These TVs combine our content-forward Fire TV experience with everything you know and love about Alexa, turning your TV into the smart hub in your living room. Available in a variety of sizes and loaded with features, there’s a lot to love about these new smart TVs and we wanted to share some of our favorites.
1. Sound and visuals. The Fire TV Omni Series supports 4K Ultra HD resolution with HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Digital sound, as well as Dolby Vision for the 65“ and 75” models for true-to-life picture quality, lifelike colors, and exceptional clarity. Plus, these TVs look beautiful — the 65“ and 75” models feature a slim bezel for a seamless look that blends into any home.

2. Alexa integration. Fire TV Omni Series completely reimagines the way you interact with your TV by deeply integrating a hands-free Alexa experience. Now, searching for movies and shows, dimming the lights, checking sports scores, and activating routines can all be done hands-free across any input. You can also do things like change profiles, switch HDMI inputs, and adjust the picture settings all with your voice.
One of the best things about having Alexa built-in is it also enhances many moments throughout your day, and brings your smart devices and services together to create an ambient environment. Customers interact with Alexa billions of times a week and Alexa works with more than 140,000 compatible smart home products — all of which customers can control from their Fire TV smart TV.
3. Frustration free setup. Simplicity and ease of use is foundational to any great entertainment experience — so we designed every aspect of our new smart TVs with that in mind, starting with the moment you take it out of the box.
The Fire TV Omni Series and Fire TV 4-Series are simple to set up and our first TVs to offer our Frustration-Free Setup. When you order from Amazon, it will automatically recognize your Wi-Fi, connect, and surface the apps you have downloaded on your other Fire TV devices so you don’t have to remember and search for each one.
Building a home theater is just as simple. Coming soon, with Alexa Home Theater, the Fire TV Omni Series and Fire TV 4-Series can pair directly with compatible Echo speakers to create premium sound, or you can pair with Echo Studio for a multidimensional Dolby Atmos experience — all wirelessly. When you set up your new Fire TV, you’ll also automatically get a pop-up notification from the Alexa app with the list of available devices associated with your account that you may want to connect to, making it even easier to get your Alexa Home Theater set up.
4. Multitasking made easy. We know that our customers don’t want to be interrupted when they are watching their favorite content. So, we’ve added the ability to see a live feed from your smart home cameras or video doorbells with Live View Picture-in-Picture. This is particularly useful if you want to quickly see who rang the doorbell without interrupting your cable TV show, movie, game, or workout.
And through simple controls with Alexa, you can set up routines on the Alexa app to create the perfect home theater experience. Once you’ve created your routine, just ask Alexa to set the mood by dimming the lights, adjusting the temperature in the room, and turning on your surround sound.
5. All your favorite entertainment in one place. Accessing your favorite movies, shows, video games, live TV, music and more has never been easier. Fire TV allows you to stream over 1 million movies and TV episodes across your favorite streaming apps, and you can access over 20,000 free movies and TV shows from apps like IMDb TV, Tubi, Pluto TV, and more. Coming soon, you can use AirPlay to share videos, photos, music, and more from your iPhone or iPad to your Fire TV.
What’s powerful about the Fire TV Omni Series is it can bring people together by enabling two-way video calling with Alexa Communications, and coming soon, with Zoom.
